My name is Karla Carranza. For over 20 years, I’ve protected and served the people of Los Angeles County as a career law enforcement professional and current Sheriff’s Department Sergeant. Now, I’m running for Sheriff.

You deserve to feel safe where you live, work, and raise your family. As your next Sheriff, that is exactly what I will deliver. Under my leadership, public safety comes first. When you call the Sheriff’s Department, you will get fast,  professional service, from deputies who respect you and your family, who protect you, and who understand that trust is earned every single day, in every single neighborhood.

 

​We work hard for our money and I will refuse to let a single taxpayer dollar go to waste. I will demand accountability, transparency, invest in training for personnel, and reduce county lawsuits stemming from the Sheriff's Department . 

 

But safety isn’t just about responding to crimes—it’s about readiness. I am prepared to lead this department through any emergency we face. Whether it’s earthquakes, fires, floods, or man-made threats. I will make sure our communities are protected when it matters most. We will not be caught off guard. Not under my watch.
